{"id":14744,"date":"2025-06-16T15:27:46","date_gmt":"2025-06-16T15:27:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diamondleague.com\/?p=14744"},"modified":"2025-06-16T15:28:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T15:28:02","slug":"benjamin-and-paulino-join-star-studded-paris-line-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.diamondleague.com\/benjamin-and-paulino-join-star-studded-paris-line-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Benjamin and Paulino join star-studded Paris line-up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Rai Benjamin and Marileidy Paulino will both be looking to impress over one lap when the Wanda Diamond League continues at the Meeting de Paris this Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>US 400m hurdler Benjamin and Dominican 400m runner Paulino are the latest reigning Olympic champions to join a star-studded line-up at the eighth leg of the Road to the Final in the French capital this weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benjamin will be hoping to make it back-to-back Diamond League wins, after he beat rivals Karsten Warholm and Alison Dos Santos with a world leading 46.54 in Stockholm on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paulino makes her first appearance of the season in Paris, as she aims to defend her Diamond League title for the fourth year in a row in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two one-lap specialists join a raft of world-beaters in Paris, including Olympic champions Grant Holloway (110m hurdles) and Soufiane El Bakkali (3000m steeplechase) and world record holders Yaroslava Mahuchikh (high jump) and Tobi Amusan (100m hurdles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Bakkali will line up in the men&#8217;s 5000m against Ethiopia&#8217;s Yomif Kejelcha and Oslo Diamond League winner Nico Young. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the Wanda Diamond League<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field.
