R\u00f6hler sets the tone in the javelin in Doha <\/h3>\n<p>It has been an incredible year in the men&#8217;s javelin, and Thomas R\u00f6hler set the tone early in the opening Diamond League meeting of the season, throwing an astonishing 93.90m. Warholm bursts onto the scene in Oslo<\/h3>\n<p>Norwegian talent Karsten Warholm is now a world champion and a household name in the 400m hurdles, but before his home meeting in Oslo this season, not even many Norwegians knew who he was. That soon changed as he beat Olympic champion Kerron Clement, setting a national record of 48.25. Schippers races to victory in Lausanne<\/h3>\n<p>Dafne Schippers may have surrendered her 100m crown at the world championships, but she made up for it by defending her 200m title, success coming off the back of a brilliant season in the half lap sprint. Ibarg\u00fcen shows steel in Monaco<\/h3>\n<p>Caterine Ibarg\u00fcen has dominated every competition in the triple jump in recent years, and it is only the emergence of Yulimar Rojas which kept her from winning gold in London. Barshim takes the bar in Birmingham<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;Mutaz Essa Barshim took gold in the high jump in London, and he will be on a mission in Z\u00fcrich to reclaim the Diamond Trophy he lost to Erik Kynard last summer.
