Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will join a host of fellow Olympic champions and world record breakers at the ninth leg of the 2025 Wanda Diamond League in Eugene next month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Olympic champion and world record holder in the 400m hurdles will headline a non-Diamond Discipline 400m flat at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene on July 5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
McLaughlin-Levrone burst into the global consciousness when she won the Diamond League title at the age of just 20 in Zurich in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She has since become one of the most successful athletes of her generation, winning both Olympic and World Championship gold twice and breaking the world record six times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She joins an already stellar cast of global champions in Eugene which includes Letsile Tebogo, Faith Kipyegon, Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Mondo Duplantis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, which will be held in Zurich on 27 and 28 August 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
