Having secured her first ever Olympic gold, the 24-year-old will now be hoping to defend the Diamond League title she won last season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Five other Olympic champions are already confirmed to compete at the Pietro Mennea Golden Gala.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Botswana&#8217;s Letsile Tebogo will run the 100m after his triumph in the men&#8217;s 200m in Paris, while the USA&#8217;s Quincy Hall will be hoping to build on his dramatic, last-gasp Olympic victory in the 400m.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s Nina Kennedy snatched Olympic gold for the first time in her career in the women&#8217;s pole vault, and now has her sights set on regaining the Diamond Trophy she lost to US rival Katie Moon last season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>New Zealand high jumper Hamish Kerr already has three Diamond League wins in 2024, and is now firm favourite to win the Diamond Trophy after his triumph in Paris.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s Masai Russell, meanwhile, will be hoping for her first Diamond League win when she takes to the blocks in the women&#8217;s 100m hurdles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Wanda Diamond League is the premier one-day meeting series in athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field.
