Sweden’s Mondo Duplantis and Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen will both return to the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Silesia in 2025, a year after they both broke world records there last August. <\/p>\n
Duplantis and Ingebrigtsen made track and field history at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial earlier this year, in one of the standout moments of the 2024 Wanda Diamond League season. <\/p>\n
Ingebrigtsen’s clocked 7:17.55 in the men’s 3000m, obliterating Daniel Komen’s 28-year-old world record and delivering the perfect response to his 1500m disappointment at the Olympic Games a few weeks earlier.<\/p>\n
Just an hour later, Duplantis cleaed 6.26m to break the pole vault world record for the third time in five months and add a centimetre to the previous record he had set at the Olympic final in Paris. <\/p>\n
The two Scandinavian stars, who both went on to claim the Diamond Trophy in September, will be hoping for a repeat performance when they return to the Polish leg of the Road to the Final on August 19th as part of their Diamond League title defence next year. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
